About AlleyCat Racing

My name is Allan but my family and friends call me AlleyCat. I’m a car man. Always have been and always will be. I work on cars for a living and collect NASCAR diecast replica cars for fun. The only thing more enjoyable than my NASCAR replica car collection is going to the track to watch a live race.

I’ve been an avid NASCAR fan for as long as I can remember. At age 16, back in the sixties, I attended my first live NASCAR race. Even before then I would watch small local races with friends. It was this interest in racing that led me to collecting NASCAR diecast replica cars.

A good friend from work first introduced me to NASCAR diecast cars. It’s been about fifteen years since I bought my first NASCAR replica car. My focus was originally on the Dale Earnhardt senior collectibles. I looked at both the 1/24 scale die cast cars and the 1/64 scale die cast cars. It didn’t take long for me to branch out from the Dale Earnhardt senior collectibles to others. Now, between my friend and me, we have close to 1,000 NASCAR diecast replica cars.

Some of my NASCAR replica cars have become well sought after collector’s items. Unfortunately, life, as it does, got busy and I now find myself with a large collection of Dale Earnhardt senior collectibles and other NASCAR diecast collectibles of which I no longer know the market value of. The realization of this crisis led to the founding of alleycat-racing.com and the formation of this new blog. It is my goal to answer NASCAR questions like, “What does NASCAR stand for?” and “How much do NASCAR drivers get paid?” while developing a feel for the value of my collection.

My hope is that, in time, I can inspire a new generation of NASCAR fans and NASCAR replica car collectors.

Oh, and for all of you NASCAR diecast replica car collector’s out there… alleycat-racing.com.
